The New Years Relay - Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Steamboat Ski Touring Center.

The New Years Relay usually consists of three distance options for teams of three:

• 2 KM - Youth
• 3.6 KM
• 7.2 KM

First leg must ski classic; mass start.

Entry fee is $36 per team, if registered by 5pm Saturday before the race. Race-day registration is $45 per team. All entries must be accompanied by entry fee and signed waivers to be registered.

Classic and Skate Race Options:

• 3 km : 1 loop
• 5 km : 1 loop
• 10 km : 1 loop
• 23 km : 2 loops over easy rolling terrain with 1 aid station (oranges, bananas, energy drink)
• 42 km : 4 loops over easy rolling terrain with 3 aid stations (oranges, bananas, energy)

The 28th Annual Steamboat Stampede will take place on Sunday, January 13th, 2013.

Sven Wiik Series #3 Steamboat Lake Results

The Sven Wiik Nordic Cup Race Series is usually comprised of 4 events:

1. Steamboat Stampede at SSTC
2. Steamboat Lake
3. Ski Haus Classic at Lake Catamount (Classic Only)
4. Lake Catamount & Marathon

Points are awarded in categories by age and gender, with an award ceremony at the Nordic Fest.

• 42 km : 4 loops over easy rolling terrain with 3 aid stations (oranges, energy drink)

The entry fee is $40 until noon on January 12th, and $55 for race day registration.  See entry form for fees for 3,5,10km.

Lunch included with entry fee.

Registration & Bib Pick-Up:
Saturday, January 12th, 9-5pm
Sunday, January 13th, 7:30-8:30am

Lunch included with 23 and 42km entry fee .

There is an Awards Ceremony at the completion of each race. All finishers are eligible for random prize drawings, including a new pair of race skis.

4. Ski Haus Classic at Lake Catamount (Classic Only) February 3, 2013
5. Lake Catamount & Marathon - February 16, 2013

Points are awarded in categories by age and gender at the end of the series.
